This 26 1/4" x 11 1/2" quilted table runner is made with the City Weekend fabric line by Moda. It was machine pieced and quilted by me in my smoke and pet free studio. Machine quilting is a rounded zig zag. Finished off with a traditional hand turned binding.

Blogger Quilt Festival...(and a giveaway)

...it's coming!
And I have no clue which quilt I want to enter. I was already thinking about the Fall Quilt Festival after the Spring Festival finished up. (And can I say I'm still in shock for having been a finalist with my Summer Sampler quilt!)
When I finished designing, making and writing the pattern for Drunk Zebra, I thought for sure that would be my entry, they do have a 2-tones quilt category after all.
But then I made Katy's Hopscotch Quilt, and had so much fun making it a very unique and special quilt, esp with the hand quilted doodles.
Of course nothing quite compares to the gigantor Seeing Squares quilt. By it's sheer size it is asking for attention. (Though to be honest this is my least favorite.)
And who doesn't love the last quilt they made best of all (ok, so I love it for many more reasons that that, it's just so me, even though it wasn't for me). Hexies for Nora...it's just too pretty!

As promised my giveaway is here. Thank you for the feedback for what I should giveaway - and I did decide to go handmade again. =)
So without further ado - the prize....

This is a 28" square mini quilt. You could use it as a wall hanging, or a table topper, or a mini baby blanket, or whatever the heck you want! This little quilt was the first time I didn't follow a pattern and just kind of went for it. And I had some fun with colored thread quilting. =)

When I proposed the idea of doing a giveaway if I reached 100 fans by 100 posts I had no idea I'd be participating in SewMamaSew's Giveaway Day. And do you see that number over there ----> It's at 104 as I type this post. My facebook followers have grown like crazy as well. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. =) I hope all you new followers will stick around and become friends. 

We are about to head out on our first family vacation ever! (I've been married for 7 years, have an almost 4 year old and 2 year old - it is about time!) When I get back I'll announce the new giveaway. But I'd like feedback from you all.

Welcome to my blog and welcome to Giveaway Day May 21, 2012! This is my first year participating, and officially my first giveaway! (I know, I know...I said I'd do a giveaway when I reach 100 50 followers, don't worry I still will! I just learned about this last night and had to participate.)

So what am I giving away? My Hullabaloo Hexie Mini Quilt!

This 14" x 22.5" mini quilt was made with traditional English paper piecing (ie hand stitched) using 2" hexagons. It would make a great table topper, little wall hanging, or even a doll quilt for a special little girl.  

I'm allowing up to 3 entries for this mini quilt.
