I'm so excited to be participating in the Bowls with Borders blog hop, hosted by Just Let Me Quilt partnered with sewwequilt.com
The bowl quilt is an adorable little paper pieced pattern with some of the smallest pieces I've ever seen, but the product is so cute!!I picked out some beautiful purple prints, partnered with grey, but I couldn't walk away from the last fat quarter with the green leaves, and I love how my stack turned out.
I made this little quilt in a hurry thinking I'd have time to make a new one before the blog hop, unfortunately I didn't and it show - pretend that little peek-a-boo white border is all the right size...I wasn't thinking when I added it on.
And when my husband saw it he asked if I had made a pot holder. I guess I'd better make my stack a whole lot bigger next time.
Make sure you check out all the other bowls being shared today, and of course head over to Just Let me Quilt now through August 28th for links to all 160 participating blogs!

ReplyDeleteSweet. :-) I second the pot holder idea!
ReplyDeleteLindsey-Thanks for the studio tour. I also have been using the comic book boards to organize smaller cuts of fabric, but have yet to decide how to arrange larger pieces left over from my garment sewing days. Right now both are stored in plastic storage containers from Costco as we still have to replace windows and flooring before I can move in. I like your little bowls, but it seems like a lot of work for a potholder that might not be seen. What about a wall hanging with other kitchen utensil such as pots and pans, or a baking theme using spoons and spatulas, etc?
ReplyDeleteI think your bowls would make a great potholder, but who wants to cover up all that cuteness with a big old pot?!!!
ReplyDeleteI really love your little quilt!! The colours are gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI love your color palette on your bowl stack! You did a great job and I second the idea of several small, themed wall hangings!
