I am obsessed with fabric swaps right now. Not handmade items, just the fabric.
I just finished up hosting my first swap, Japanese Charms. I've participated in 2 successful rainbow charm swaps, and am currently taking part in a Liberty of London Swap (sooo excited about this one!). There is an awesome Flickr group where you can find and share swaps Fabric Swap Finder
Anyway, before I discovered that Flickr group I resorted to googling, and you can certainly find a lot that way, but sometimes the swaps have come and gone. But I got lucky and found one that hadn't started yet, and it sounds so fun!
I think 2.5" squares are just popular right now. If the Sweet Treats Blog Hop I'm participating in, and all of Moda's mini charm packs aren't evidence of that, I don't know what is.
The basic details of the swap. You will cut 5 stacks of 50 2.5" squares. Each of those 50 fabrics should be different. So a total of 250 squares. Swappers will be assigned 5 partners to swap with and you'll receive 250 squares back in return.
Sign up deadline is October 21, 2012, all of the details can be found at Peach Patch Quilts.
And if you are wondering what you'd make with a bunch of 2.5" squares? Make sure you are checking out the Sweet Treats Blog Hop this week, and especially coming back here Wednesday, October 10th for my tutorial. =)
