Today is my 9th wedding anniversary. To celebrate I thought I'd share our wedding quilt with you.
This quilt was made by my mother-in-law between 2002 and 2004. It is a beautiful compilation of various traditional blocks (like the flying geese, log cabins, and snail trails) and other elements, but overall the design is an original. The applique is all needled turned by hand, and it is beautifully hand quilted with the teeniest stitches. Enjoy!
Wow! Beautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! What a stunning quilt! It's the kind of quilt that is destined to become an heirloom to be treasured for several generations. You're one very lucky lady.

How gorgeous! That is an heirloom.
ReplyDeleteThe wedding quilt is just beautiful. What a work of art. It makes my quilts very amateurish! If you can tell her that some Ozark girl realty appreciates all her work. I could not do that. Your lucky to have a mother in law that loves you. I am lucky too in that my mother in laws were great too. Patricia Mata
