WIP Wednesday

Untitled
Liberty of London
I participated in a Liberty of London brick (aka 5"x10" rectangle) swap, I charmed my bricks, and went for a simple patchwork quilt. I'm excited to get started quilting, I'm going to attempt orange peel with my walking foot. I've gone back and forth with my feeling about the quilt, but in the end I like the vintage feel the simple scrappy squares gives it.

Blooms for Melissa
This sweet quilt is one I started making years ago, before I had my own babies. It got put aside for a long time. I finished the applique last year, but then was torn on how to quilt it. I finally figure out something simple and sweet, and found it a new home - in a few months my friend Andrea will be having her first baby girl. =)
