I know I
just posted pictures of my sewing room, but I just did a major rearrange!
I decided to set up the unused machine quilting frame downstairs (which was previously the playroom/we may use this as a homeschool classroom room, but we decided not to homeschool at this point, and our girls hardly ever came down to play in the playroom), and then I thought why not just make the whole room mine and move their toys up to my old sewing room. So I did. It took about a day total, gave me a sore back, and I still have to set up their playroom in a cute, play able manner, but I just wanted to share my awesome new studio!

General sewing, ironing, cutting area - so basically what my old sewing room was. |

Better view of the cutting and storage area. |

The Grace Co. quilting frame, plus storage. The corner has a bookshelf with books and toys and puzzles for my girls to play with when they come hang out with me down here. |

In the corner is my desk area, printer and computer now have a good home. There is a remnant of our "classroom" with the alphabet signs and the bulletin board, but the map I actually hung today. Overflow storage of what used to be on the cube shelf upstairs, I now have finished quilts folded and on these shelves, as well as more stuff for the girls. And our old couch as a lovely lounging area. |
I'm pretty happy about it. Now I'm going to get a quilt (and machine) on that quilting frame and give it a try.
I am so excited for you!
ReplyDeleteGrat idea, I'm sure you will go down more than the kids did, and they get their toys closer. a win - win.
